Zebra FaceCaddy Giveaway for EDS Awareness Month!

I am thrilled to introduce this product to my fellow zebras and readers everywhere! I don't endorse products on my blog unless I feel very strongly about them. The FaceCaddy is one of those life-changing products that I can confidently recommend without reservation. It's a safe, med-free, non-invasive and affordable remedy for many different ailments including TMJ pain, migraines, sinus headaches and even hot flashes! Every EDS patient should have one of these on standby in the medicine cabinet.

A FaceCaddy user myself, I can attest to the quality and effectiveness of this product. The technology behind the FaceCaddy is simple and time-tested: ice and heat therapy are safe and effective treatment approaches that have been widely used by physical therapists, chiropractors and Md's for years. What makes the FaceCaddy so revolutionary is the fact that it renders hot/cold therapy completely portable and convenient: you no longer have to lay on your side while awkwardly holding a bag of frozen peas against your face for twenty minutes at a time. Instead you simply strap on the lightweight, wearable FaceCaddy and go on about your business while still reaping the benefits of hot/cold therapy which include pain relief, reduced inflammation and muscle relaxation.

As most of you know by now, I have been suffering from TMJD for nearly five years and have tried several different treatment approaches (most are costly, painful and largely ineffective) only to find myself right back to where I'd started from: with ice and heat therapy. Admittedly, when I'm in bad pain, I find it hard to muster up any patience. One of the reasons hot/cold therapy never worked well for me in the past was because I never had the patience to hold the ice or heat up to my head for long enough to relieve pain, reduce swelling or relax muscles.

Now that I wear the FaceCaddy, my impatience no longer poses a threat to the effectiveness of ice/heat therapy. If I'm having a really bad TMJ flare-up I often sleep with the FaceCaddy on. It's comfortable, soft and insulates the hot/cold packs so that they stay cold or warm for a long period of time without having to constantly re-freeze or re-heat them. A major bonus so you can truly relax while wearing it.

In honor of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness Month I will be giving away a brand new FaceCaddy in zebra print with neon pink trim courtesy of FaceCaddy creator himself, John Lucas, who generously donated this product to share with my readers and commemorate EDS Awareness Month.

  1. What a cool (no pun intended) giveaway. I must admit I get frustrated trying to hold cold and hot packs on my face/head and love this concept. Some days there is nothing better than an icepack for a migraine but the fact they keep falling off is so irritating.

  2. That is a very cool product. Both me and my younger son suffer from horrendous migraines. I like cold but the cold packs are so hard and inflexible its impossible to keep them on while writhing in pain! Love this!...where can we buy? I may need more then one :).

  4. If this can be wrapped around the neck, that is definitely what I would use it for. My neck is insane! This is such a fabulous idea for those suffering from TMJ.

  6. This looks like a great product! I have TMJ as well - but mine is intermittent. I'll have problems for a week or two, then it will settle back into place. Painful and very frustrating when it gets stuck in the wrong place!

  7. Hey there, I know it's been forever since you've heard of me (Michaela Oteri) but I want to enter too.

It really is a great idea and looks like ti would do wonders for migraines. My mother, brother, sister, and I all suffer from those. Using hot/cold packs isn't always convenient too. I love the design!

  8. Really cool product. I suffer from really bad TMJ I had a lot of bad dislocations of my jaw for a while and eventualy it just got stuck dislocated so I had to have my jaw wired shut till I could find a sugeron to fix the damage and not make it happion. When it rains and is cold my jaw acts up bad and heat feels great but I hate having to lay on my side and hold the warm pack to my face I get so fustrated. I also get bad migraines so it will works wonders all around for me. And espicaly hot flashes I always apply ice but it hurts to hold for any length of time. Sorry so long

  10. Like G in the post above mine, I have improvised. I used an elastic bandage to hold ice on my head when I had a migraine. Thanks for this giveaway. I am following on Twitter.

  11. This would be great because I have problems keeping ice on my cheeks because my teeth are crumbling due to EDS and other medical issues, so I am working on getting them pulled as they can not be saved. My bite is off so my jaw also subluxes at times. I also have eustation tube dysfunction so it causes jaw/ear pain and leads to headaches. I also have complex migraines which is combination migraine, tension, and cluster so my neck gets tense . With having POTS on top of the other issues I get the type of headaches and eye pain associated with it as well. This would help me a lot as I use ice and heat many times in the week and have yet to find a way to ice pack in place besides literally holing myself or lying down in place and when I MOVE it falls off. I do not like taking drugs unless I really need them and will try other alternatives that seem to help more.
